graduation
today was graduation for Gunn! it seems so long ago that i was sitting there in that amphitheater listening to speeches. yet it was only a year. I recall my guest speakers/student speakers taking a much longer time…but i think my recollection is a bit messed up
it was really fun seeing old friends coming back from college to support the little ones, watching seniors graduate after years of friendships. such a happy time
but so cold…i think i almost got frost bite
yeah i just want to write this post so if i look back, i will always remember my graduation as a super happy time. all my family was there, friends were there supporting me, everyone is just happy taking pictures, catching up, celebrating commencement.
also, the only thing i was bummed about during my graduation (this is really lame) is that the band didn’t play for me when my name was called :( this year all the band kids got little tributes/cheers from the band when they got called. i think the situation is different though, my year, i didn’t get to bond with a majority of the underclassmen who play at graduation, plus i didn’t go on tour with them which also detracts. and all my percussion friends (who could make the loudest noises) were graduating. oh well, it was a pretty good time anyways.
im happy that class of ‘10 is having a blast right now at grad night (or at least they should be…)
oh yeah my enterprise model is almost done! just have to glue it all together tomorrow! decals were much more easy to work with because they were fresh, they just slid off the sheet, unlike last time when they were super old and crackly. i had a real problem with the deflector dish not gluing right :( the glue pretty much melted the stem every time and i had no idea what to do sighhh…getting better at building models though, improving a little bit each time
