still jetlagged
can’t fix my sleep schedule, or else i wouldn’t be awake at 9am, but it’s getting there, couple more days should do the trick
Coincidences are pretty amazing when they happen. for example, yesterday i was running with Koko, and as i was crossing Arastradero to get back to my house i look at the car waiting for me to cross and lo and behold, it’s Jeff, and he turns instead of going straight to chat a little.
what kind of fate is that? his car was waiting at the stop sign the exact moment i was going to cross. had i run just a little more slowly yesterday, or spent just 5 seconds more to stretch, then our meeting never would have happened. yet all of my actions yesterday, lazy and hardworking, led me to a point where i would see a friend. yes, one might argue that coincidences do happen, and there is no way to control them or predict them, but i think it is cool to know that whatever actions you take in one day can make a huge difference (i dont really have a good example of a huge difference haha)
this happened another time a couple of weeks ago. i noted that a friend and i have had of random meetings between us, seeing each other at restaurants etc..and i decided to get lunch. but before i got lunch i spent a couple of minutes just in the house doing some chores. eventually when i got to the sandwich shop, who do i see but my friend. out of all the places in Palo Alto. and it wasn’t even a regular time for people to be getting lunch; meaning i purposely went later so i wouldn’t have to wait in line. fate? i dunno, maybe a little bit
